Hello from Germany
« on: August 19, 2016, 16:48:33 »
Hello all, I am Kristina,

For a while now I have been searching for a photography forum where I can share my photo and receive constructive critisism and feedback. I joined Buddy on the Maastricht event and found that the NG folks are a really nice group. I am Buddys (the solitaire) better half and asked him to write this introduction because I´m not really good at writing in the engish language. I can red and understand it fine though.

I suffer from anxiety in public, so I was no able to chat a lot during the event. I enjoyed the time in Maastricht nonetheless, and, if time allows, will join on another gathering as well.

Photography is an important means of expression for me, and I try to capture things meaningful and beautiful to me.

As for the technical details, I use a D800, a Nikon FM2 and a Nikkormat, own a 50mm f1,4K, 50mm f1,8 AF-S, 105mm f2,8 VR and 180mm f2,8 AF-D, but I also use various other lenses Buddy owns. I do prefer longer focal lengths and fast lenses and my absolute dream lens is the 200mm f2, which is quite out of reach for me though. As long as I do not own one of those, I prefer using the 85mm f1,4 AF-D

Wherever I go my two Belgian Shephard dogs, Lumi and Amy, guide me. Some of you have already met Lumi in person.

Hello Kristina

Welcome! I am looking forward to seeing your pictures.
And don't worry for your English skills, it is not the native language for most of the forum members either...

Welcome! The good thing about an online forum is - it doesnt care - nor see anxiety. We can all be ourselves without feeing threatened - and if we get upset - can can throw things at the computer - and no one can see. I hope you will enjoy the scene here!

Welcome Kristina  ;D
The FM2 was my favorite film camera, I even had one for each model of shutter ! :o I'm sure you'll find NikonGear nice and useful  ;)

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I will try to share my photos in the themes and sub forums intended for them. Sometimes with, sometimes without comments. Please ask if there is anything specific about a photo you would want to know more about so I can ask Buddy to help me translate my replies to english.

I hope many of you will comment my photos, because to me, feedback is an important aspect of learning more about photography and improving my photos :)

Jacques, Kristinas FM2 was my old workhorse film camera. It is an early 1982 model with the honeycomb titanium shutter and X200 flash sync time on the shutter speed dial.

Here is a picture with Kristinas collection of cameras including the FM2
