Quebec cityscapes
« on: August 02, 2016, 08:47:39 »
I will say those are cityscapes with nature.
Spending some days for work in the city and I have some spare time to walk around
1. Sunflower in the sun
2. Some stairs in the city
3. Another flower, another window
4. Counters
5. Color contrasts
6-7-8. Center weighted metering -Thanks Jan Anne :)

Very nice. Does this define the place for you?

Beautiful colourful series, Paco.   I like especially the framing and contrast in #6.

Thanks for the comments. Sunny and colorful it is here right now.

Frank, It does. It is not a full definition, but a faithful one nonetheless. Like stories, places identities are made of the sum of the details. All I can show are some of mine.
I have more shots of parts of Quebec that caught my attention but I can´t take all the pictures to show the city´s reality. Bias, subjective, partial, honest  definition of summer here.
   Thanks for the question!

I feel these are very "European". I see some Venice there and some France, some Italy and some New Orleans.
I sure love the people stepping down the steep staircase. I love the summery light.
I love the photos as photos but, as you do, I am searching for context.

For me Canada is like a dream come true in Freedom.

Can I trust this dream?

Yes. Quebec has an intense French flavor and they are very proud of it so I guess I´m not too much off the mark. They also have 4 separate seasons -as opposed to my south Spain were you have barely two- This is summer :)

Very unique set in the Paco's style of framing and color.  To me, #1 even looks like an image shot in Spain.

Yesterday I went to the aquarium. Never made it there. I found some beautiful life in the way -500 mts- to the entrance and follow until a bridge.
The bridge was beautiful and had some numbers in it...so I follow of course, until the 13th pilar.

Nice one, Paco. Reminds me of clouds and the sky in a strange roundabout way. I like the perspective(s) of the images posted earlier as well.

Paco, this last one is a very poetic abstraction.

Really enjoyed your photos Paco. My fav is #1 and #7. Always nice to see your perspective.
Btw, the colors remind me results from D700.

Thank you Charlie, Akira and Anirban!

When an image evokes something else, is a great compliment.
