Omitofuo (greetings from Edinburgh)
« on: August 01, 2016, 00:18:42 »
OM-D, 75/1.8, natural condensation on the front lens as I entered the tropical pond glasshouse from a cooler area.
Image left alone in PP.

You were right to leave it alone in PP. It's beautiful just the way it is.

The first time condensation on a lens could be called a 'friend'. Interesting and delicate image. Good that PP was not used.

Thanks Frank, Akira, Tom, Mongo and Golunvolo. As a matter of fact, the picture was slightly cropped, and that was the only positive action. I used the standard Adobe color profile (more intense reds) instead of the camera one, that would make the picture look even more greenish, but that was no action, since the imports from OM-D are parametered that way. I have yet to find a better, custom profile for that camera.

Airy,  +1  to  what  the others have said.  A great result and a wise choice to use minimal pp.

Actually it is an interesting outcome with the fog on what is arguably the sharpest of all the lenses in the Olympus OM-D line up.  Yet the edges of the petals still show some sharpness.  Nice.

John, that's the result of serendipititious (I hate that word) photography, as opposed to meditative. The trip to the botanic garden was indeed full of surprises.
Hugh, I was myself amused by the OM-D being able to focus through the mist. And indeed, that lens deserves its reputation for sharpness - "qui peut le plus peut le moins", as we say in French.
