This is a kitchen.

Apart from making Frank jealous, the reason to show these is that they were taken with the Nikon 1 V1 +18/5/1.8, at f/2.8, auto ISO with 800 limit, and in difficult lighting conditions the camera did quite well.  (Maison Troisgros, Roanne, France; my wife and I went there this week for our wedding anniversary; it's about as good as a restaurant gets).

Nice image, all that intention caught in the facial expressions and postures.
I really hope the broth didn't get spoiled.

Really classy kitchen indeed! The camera and you did well!

First image is souch an nice overview of the room and machines, none of the men are taking away attention or distracting except maybe the guy coming out through the door. Great capture of the atmosphere.

Fortunately, we don't need to eat the chefs - only what they cook up ....

A nice example that the tiny CX format can deliver respectable images. The 18.5/1.8 CX is in fact a very good performer, apart from its barrel distortion, but that either doesn't bother much or if it does can be corrected.

Brings back some memories, I worked in the Culinary industry for almost 25 years.
I worked in a couple resort kitchens with this sort of layout.
I don't miss them stove pipe paper hats, if your 6' or taller going in and out of the walk in coolers and freezers kept knocking them off.
It was fun but hard work...
Nice color nice action and what team work is like in a good kitchen.
