Did you already do a topic on the 50/2.0  ?

+1 to what John said.

I have a 200mm f/4.0 AiS, so I will look forward to that teardown in due course.  Mine has been "cpu chipped" if you want an image of the back end.

An excellent blog again, Richard.  Thanks for the interesting write-down of the dismantling.

Hello, John.
Are you referring to the 5cm f/2?  :o :o :o
I am not so sure, I dont think i made one before. if it's the 5cm, I could write one next month.

Hello, Hugh! I am going to do one for the K/Ai version :o :o :o I have an Ai-S version notes but i am afraid that my notes are not complete since I was not thinking of making the blog back then. ::)

Sure! the picture will be helpful!

This is the "new" New-Nikkor (also known as "K") 135/2.8. As you said, this is closely related to the AI version. The AIS shares the same optics but I believe it is a little different mechanically, so not sure how much of this tear-down is relevant the AIS model. There is also an "old" New-Nikkor 135/2.8 which has optics from the older Nikkor-Q version.

Hello, Roland!
the Ai-s focusing ring is a bit different but the rest of the lens is similar to this :o :o :o
