Now you've really got us intruiged Karl !
With a minimalist title and few optical shenanigans that I've noticed, this feels quite different
And a depth of green that'll soon be missing if parts of Europe stay as dry as they've been

Yes. Its sap can leave scars and blisters persisting for months.

Thank you for the ID.  The species shouldn't have existed in Japan, but was found in Hokkaido recently...

I like Statiotes aloides too :) and there art be various species of Lemna, Spirodela, even Wolffia in that pond presumably.
