Klaus, the last one rocks!!!
Arigato domo Akira! I noticed that this lens shows some interesting effects when used looking into the sun at an angle.... :-)
Thanks Klaus. I was wondering what that 3.5" f1.5 lens looked like. Now I know. Will keep my eye out. BTW I just grabbed a 35mm f2.3 Wollensak Type V lens off eBay for $35. I can find NO information on it. The Type 35 f3.5 was a cine lens both for military 16mm strike cameras, and later in D mount for 8mm cameras. No mention of an f2.3 version anywhere. It has both yellow and purple dots. Will keep you posted...
Most welcome Toby! Haven't heard about that Wollensak lens, please show it and some results here! Wollensak used those dots, but I have no idea what they were for, I have those on some of my lenses, too especially the ones for their high speed movie camera, the FASTAX.
Found the lens you bought, looks like an early BALTAR type...
