Jakov: This is the kind of drawing you get from a 2.0/28 Ai. This lens is INCREDIBLE!!!

Dear Jakov, I use LightRoom and I dont know its full capabilities. The parameters I play with are mainly: contrast, shadows, black and clarity. These are the parameters I used in these photographs. If I have burnt highlights I reduce highlights (and/or whites). Occasionally, I play with the saturation of a particular color. In some of these photos I increased the saturation for blue. Photograph 8869, 8885 and a couple of others. Dont forget that the D810 is a good camera and the Nikkor 2/28 AI a good lens, plus my hands were not shaking (seems so) when I pressed the button. Would you like to know anything else? I am at your disposal.

I have the 28/2.0 pre Ai version. I wonder if the optical qualities of my lens are inferior to the Ai version?

It might be that I haven't used the lens so much considering my workhorse is the AFS 17-35/2.8.
I must give my 28/2.0 more of a chance, although I also possess the 28/3.5K that might be even better. If I only had the time...

Armando, Meteora is really as you said, impressive. In the old times there was no road to the monasteries. They were using big baskets that were lowered and lifted using ropes. I have never asked how the monasteries were built on top of the rocks. Thanks for your comments.

Be aware of sample-variation. I got another 28/2 which is much brighter than my previous one.

I had a 28/2.0 Berg-und-Tal (NC-Auto, Ai-D) It was superb on the D2X and D3
