Interesting concept Akira.
The same but different!
Next time I would like to see a longish exposure of the same subject :)

Ravel would be proud!

The structure in falling water is fascinating. Here the shapes, reflections and turbulence come together so beautifully as a composition. The detail must be very interesting in the larger version. In the last one, I  repeatedly come back to the S shapes in the foreground and on the right. Nicely seen and photographed.

Well seen Akira !

I think I prefer the first image, with the space with no water right in the middle

Thanks, all for stopping by and commenting!

Jakov, I tried slower shutter speed at first to blur the water, but, at least in this particular case, the result was not really happening.  Then I tried faster shutter speed to freeze the water and liked the preview image.

Andrea, indeed the foreground of the last image was fascinating.  I respect the designer of this artificial waterfall!

Armando, I also tried various placements of the space with no water.  But the water looked most interesting when seen from the view point of the latter three.

The frozen water make up all kind of creatures. I think I would have chosen the one with the most interesting figures. Water is an endless source of change in shape and form.

You inspired me to shoot water differently today. Pouring rain that was. Should I open another thread or post them here?

Børge, my intention of this post is not only to capture the most interesting "moment" but also somewhat the constant metamorphosis of the falling water over a certain period of the time.  So, to me, even the less interesting frames play important roles here.

Nevertheless, I appreciate your comment which is good food for thought.

Glad you say so, Frank!

I didn't intend this as an open thread like many others.  But it would be a good idea to make it open, as the title is rather general.

So, please feel free to post yours here!

Thanks, Elsa, for the suggestion.  Unfortunately there is no room on any walls to hang the print in the place I live.

It might be nice to print the image on the white cloth and make it to a curtain?!

The shapes on the vertical part are fascinating.  These deserve to be seen at much larger than 1000 pixels across.  How much time separates the separate exposures?

A play with "regular irregularities", which is the essence of music. No wonder that the title also refers to Ravel.
