Magpie chick
« on: June 02, 2016, 16:10:21 »
The magpie is so common that it is almost ignored for photos, but I actually find it a pretty beautiful bird. Very large (and difficult) contrasts though. This young chick was sitting in my backyard begging for food, which the parents brought from time to time.

Funny little being. Love the blue tinted back. A scene captured from real life.

Very true !

This one certainly tried flying, but it was too early. Let's hope that any cat is wandering by...

Very sharp with nice colours.

Well done !

Thanks a lot for all the nice comments. There are cats around here, so not entirely safe to sit on the ground. But I think it was able (barely) to get back into a tree.
