Close and Far
« on: June 01, 2016, 06:45:12 »
Both of these shots were taken with the Fujifilm 100-400 attached to an X-Pro2. The moon shot also used the 1.4 tele-extender and was tripod mounted. The bee photo was handheld with then 100-400 only. I really  like how well this lens delivers.

The daylight moon watches quietly, and waits...

I guess these represent 'reach' and 'versatility' in combination ....

Apparently this lens is a good performer.

Bob, these are very good and nice demo for the lens.  I like the Oly 40-150 2.8 w/wo TC1.4 for its' versatility but the 100-400 seems to be even better.
Many thanks for sharing.

This was the missing link in my gear; a long lens. Now, I get to reach out for images that were beyond the grasp of my other lenses. I tried the Nikon 200-500mm lens and liked it, but it would just be too big to pack along with me for day hikes and even for typical handheld shots.

Both shots show you as a great picture maker. And yes. Lenses with more than one trick are always a good
addition to the bag. A 200mm is just a 200mm. If it can do macro it is like two lenses in one small package.

Congratulations to your new tool and hope you will let us participate on what you can see and show with it.

Bob:

The moon shot is outstanding, very evocative, the mist/steam adds a lot of 'atmosphere' to the shot!

Cheers
