I like this, strong colours, and a delicate insect make a striking image.

Complementary colours always create impact and this is skilfully applied here. However, I cannot but feel there is an unbalance within the frame to make me question the framing ever so slightly. Perhaps there wasn't any more time to reframe, insects are notoriously skittish, but instead a significant crop to the right could improve the overall balance?

Feel free to ignore .... we probably perceive the scene differently in any case.

Bjørn, i honestly hesitated cropping off some of the right side, then i thought the pointed leaflet needs significance.

Probably the point on which our preferences diverge, which is just fine. I would cut more brutal to bring the overall composition into "my" balance, you want to include the entire leaf so as to balance your version. That is how photography works. The solutions are not ready-made recipes.

Great impact Fons, it works very well. I tried a square crop for the fun of it and it gives movement, the creature starts climbing a revolving apparatus set on -as it is now- glorius green background.
Of course it works as it is. I want to try my option because I wish it was mine! :)
