Two forests and a landscape

1)  "The old man of the woods" had one eye and three teeth when I found him, so I gave him a full set and tidied his beard up a little.

2)  The conifer forest is a new one for me; I like how the trees step down a steep hillside.

3)  I suddenly saw this from our garden last night and ran indoors for a camera; it was changing fast and there was no time to get to a better location. I just pushed my lens through the garden fence an shot a 5-part stitch, handheld with the d800.

The tree is very entish and the pano is terrific and reminds me for some reason of the high country we see out west here in the US.

+1. Coming across the old man of the woods would be enough to cause me to depart the woods in great haste, and never return. 

The clouds are fantastic. One looks like a just-launched missile!

Although the pano is superb, my favorite is the ''old man'' tree. But I know, they are very different images...

The second one reminds me the omnipresence of Larch woods which is a subject of inspiration itself.

Thank you so much, Akira, Rosko, Mike and everyone who has commented - it really does mean a lot to me. And - no disrespect to the many who were unable to come to "Scotland 2016" - the comments have an extra weight when they come from someone I have met in person. As of 7-14 May, there are another 12 or so people in that category, something which makes me very happy.

The b//w pano doesmake a pretty nice print, and - inspired by Simsurace's "Glencoe Tryptych" - I have printed it as a continuous panorama, and also as a tryptych. If anyone knows how to mount/display something nearly 180cm long (3 A2 prints), please let me know.
