These are not bad at all. Perhaps lifting the middle range ever so slightly to make them stand out better?

Silver Effex has a bewildering array of settings and I guess one has to experiment quite a lot to make the most out of this plugin. I paid good money for the Nik collection a few years back, but didn't have much time to learn to use the plugins (or standalones). Now, when the collection is free to all, I'm using it more ....

there are so many options with silver efex - try them all :)
careful of pushing the structure slider as this can push noise

I agree with Ron, the caterpillar bus seems quite dream !
On the Silver effex plug, I use it since it's free. I'm testing it against the ON1 plugs I did buy (and upgrade). I find the Nik collection more easier to use, more fluid with Lightroom on a Mac.

I was suspicious that the presets I used were quite contrasty.
Thanks Elsa.

I`m comparing it to the regular B&W converter of PS CC.
Not sure which one is better, yet.

Impressive Aguinaldo.

In the past I used Silver Effex mostly as a fast tool to see what the different standard presets can do to an image. And as  a comparison tool with the manually changes made in CC and DxO.  But Silver Effex has so many different filters cleverly built in, that it's faster than the regular PP. Especially with the use of  the desired favourites. It's an advantage to know your way in the menu on the right hand side. (Which takes a bit of time to master it all)

It is close to Banff, Alberta.

I have actually been there twice, once in the 1960's and again a few years ago.  The whole area is awesome.

Thanks.
I'm comparing the results with the PS CC converter to see which one is better.
I think the sky convertion would be my priority.
