Postcard From Valencia
« on: May 08, 2016, 15:18:24 »
We returned to our hotel at 3PM to find this group outside waiting for a glimpse of some football players.  Our room was not made up and management gave us an excuse.  They said if we did not ask for an early room make up they would do the room by 5.  If we had returned at 5 they would probably have said rooms made up by 7.  So much for staying in a high priced Westin.

Valencia seems more expensive than other locations in Spain.  It is harder to find cheap local places here.  We did visit three art museums today, all for free.  That made up for a pricey lunch.

PS the hotel will comp us for dinner.

We stayed at New Years in Valencia and enjoyed the city very much.
No real high prices and a lot to see. We hired an appartement for 5 days.

It isn't really expensive, just not super low prices like we were finding elsewhere in Spain.

That's true. Andalusia is a very pretty and relative cheap palace to stay.
Did you already visit the City of Arts and Modern Science?
Very spectaculair.

Yes, this is the place with buildings that look like blimps...
