We said goodbye to all friends, old and new, then took Sally the dog for a walk, AND I LOST ALL MY KEYS - to the car, house, garage, everything. We were spared a long hot walk back to the house because JAKOV AND ALESSANDRA came along the road and took us to our house. So it's a big thanks to Jakov.

I had no time so far to process and upload much, but here is one showing our intrepid 6mm fisheye operator, Erik the Fearless.

Gee that is dreadful, I hope you find your keys again soon.

We did exactly that in the afternoon, and after an hour of searching we found the keys. What a relief!

The meet up in Scotland seemed to be the festival of accidents.  Glad to know all the troubled folks have survived and enjoyed at the end of the day.

Not sure Jakov is familiar with 'Fun With Flags' series by Sheldon Cooper of 'Big Bang Theory' fame, but their enthusiasm is remarkably similar. Said Sheldon Cooper may be appearing a little less mafioso-style, though.

Thank you Bjørn!!!
I love the photo and I will start watching Big Bang Theory!

Special thanks goes to Dave for organising our get together and taking us to places we would not have seen was it not for his generous willingness to put up with us.
Thanks goes to the Crew for choosing to go to Scotland and being there for all of us :)
Then I would like to express my gratitude to all the old and new friends for being so nice to me (especially Bez) and I hope that our friendships will evolve even further.

Since we didn't have WiFi as we are accustomed to, I didn't post as much as I would normally do but I will eventually populate this thread with my images and I encourage everybody else to do the same.

Let me not forget Frank's dinner that got us all around the table to experience his excellent culinary skills.

Already looking forward to our one-day walk through in Maastricht, as well as our next get together in Cologne for Photokina.

Best, Jakov

It was indeed and great week with un-Scottish weather. I think most of us got a sunburn.

Dave, again thanks for organizing and bringing us to so many beautiful places.

Today Frank, Francis and I went to the Isle of May for some burning.
Although the Puffins stayed far away we could get som nice pictures.
It was my first real test with the D500, but man that camera is made for birders (and probably sport shooters too).
Even with my Tamron 150-600 focus and tracking were instant and I got much more keepers than with my D810

Our boat took a hit when setting us at May and we needed help from a rescue boat to leave the Island and get to the mainland.

Safely at the Hotel in Edinburgh. Now try to find if other NG people
are still in town...

...today we had a big adventure. Our ferry had an accident and had
to be towed home from the Isle of May. See you later. Do not speak
to my mailbox. Noone is listening!

Thank you Chris and Francis for a grand day out and special thanks to Francis for the ride.

Hope everybody else arrived safely at home!!!!

Super Event. My expectations were exceeded.
You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.
