Today Erik et moi dropped Bjørn at the airport a little past 10am and we used the time in between flights to have brunch and spend some quality time at The Kelpies before I had to climb on board of a blue metal bird myself.

Here's two of my favourites from earlier today, uploaded from home :)

The mandatory sunstar eye, shot at f/16 for a nice crisp star

One of the horses turned out to be a bit skittish about birds ;D

I love the second one.
Next time I go I will also pay a visit to the Kelpies. Pity there was not enough time to fit all in.

Beautiful Celts repairing ships in the docks at Mallaig.
My 75-150 works well on the X-T1 :)

The star eyes work very well for those mythical creatures. Powerful as they look but I think is brilliant to show them alive: looking at a passing bird while the other one calmly eats grass...

Great series of a great trip ! I hope all will go well for Bjorn ! Have a drink of brown ale at the Mallaig's inn, I used to have some friends there, so many years ago :-)

Home at last and been to the Emergency Ward.  New antibiotics of industrial strength administered every 6th hour for ten days, and I should be just fine.  Meanwhile I ought to be at rest as much as possible. Oh well. I will at least have no excuse any longer not to making my annual tax report ...

Yes, I'm fine thanks, Jørgen, but this get-together has been slightly dented by 4 of us (so far) being unwell - me, Bjørn, Francis and Mike.

But I think we are all still having a good time.

Hope all four guys will get well soon.  Take care!

Meanwhile I will enjoy all these posts that are either enjoyable, envious, marvelous or all of them!

Andrea you have a great eye!

Also you have the super rare Ultra Achromatic! Any chance of some other visible light shots with it?
