D500 does snowy landscape.

Frequently it is snowing in April...
D500+ 14-24mm f/2.8 @ 1/100, f/9, iso 200.

Some nice details (best viewed large). It seems there is not too much detail in the snow on the foreground tree logs, but this may be my monitor (laptop).

Nice "present" in the picture is the little birdhouse on the left hand side.

The scene contrast is low despite the snow (morning mists?) and there is an overall softening of the image from jpg artefacts. However, I see no blown highlights, and a slight sharpening (done before scaling to web size) would bring forth details even in the snow-white areas.

Sure. I believe some of the softening stems from rain on the lens - it was raining a bit. i will have a look at the NEF file again later. Soon today I will go to a large birthday party however, will probably bring older cameras that I am more used too :)
