Mike Owens here - everyone has called me "O" since about 1970. "Flying O" to be specific as I used to fly pretty high back in the old days. My father taught me how to shoot and edit 8mm and 16mm motion picture films when I was about 7 years old (early 1960's) and his best friend at the time was a local professional still photographer, so film and image creation has been in my blood since I can remember. I dabble in medium (Rolleiflex, Graflex 22) and large formats (Linhoff), but 35mm has become my "go-to" favorite for down and dirty quick photography. After years of using almost every brand available in the 35mm format, I have my favorites in each brand but I'm a Nikon shooter at my core. I have a pretty large collection of working gear - F, F2, F3, F4, F100, FA, FM, FE, FG, heck - it might be easier to list what I do NOT own! Anyway, I'm glad I found this group and I look forward to learning more as time goes on. I spent around 10 years living in Hawai'i, so mahalo (thank you in Hawaiian) for welcoming me into the fold. - Mike
