Mist and Mountains by Ron Scubadiver, on Flickr

Inside passage, Chile, 2016, from a moving ship.  I have been experimenting with cinema crops, 2.4 to 1.

Great choice of framing. Love the colors and the "mistique". Nice capture.

Beautiful layering of shades of blue, and the crop works very well.

It makes me phantasize about travelling in far away places. Excellent.

Geneva Lake during winter: view from Montreux, wind breeze, enough to ripple the lake, but not sufficient to fade the mist:

Thank you everyone.  Lake Geneva looks more like an ocean.

Ron, you seem to still have images from your great trip to south tip of America, terrific image, can not get any more blue than that

Armando, the ship sailed the inside passage for two full days passing over 1,000 km of scenes like this.  On the first morning there was so much haze that right out of the camera many images looked almost white.  Later we sailed up the Beagle Channel.  Most were done in 16:9 crop, but I have started to experiment with 2:1 and 2.4:1.  My feeling is this one benefited a lot from the cinema crop.
