Below is a link to a little video I just finished putting together showing the difference in FPS between the Nikon F3H High-Speed and the Nikon D3...............the only Nikon '3's  :)

Excellent ! The D3 has more the pace and rattling of a .50BMG heavy machine gun....

Could it be the attached lens slows down the D3?
I love the more damped sound of the newer body.
The real contender is the D5 with 12 fps.

Hi Frank, both cameras are set on manual..........highest shutter speed.
