I'm currently looking at the 15mm 2.8 Zeiss - I could use a wide single-shot lens as opposed to stitching with the 24mm for Architectural and indoor shots.

I feel the D810 has plenty of pixels to do this,,,

A fine glass indeed.
The Nikkor 14-24mm is very similar in IQ.
