Planes of Fame
« on: March 27, 2016, 18:53:43 »
Planes of Fame is an air museum located at the Chino Airport in Chino California. Many of the planes are kept flight worthy and are often used in Hollywood movie productions.  It isn't unusual to see oil pans under the planes.  An additional benefit to the photographer of flight worthy planes is that the planes are being moved around, changing locations and lighting.

What a great opportunity and venue. I like what you captured - no 1 being quite surreal

Talk about surreal... the last image is Darth Vader. I like how you interpret the stuff.
my biggest downfall is I have to pay attention and THINK about getting something different.
I dont believe it comes to me as easily as it does to some other people.
Studio is different. there I can wax it kind-of.

Very nice and smart use of color. The framing and priority to certain parts, curves, etc...make them alive and with personality.

   Very cool stuff.

Strong graphic images - great use of dark/black areas - all good but the Stars and Stripes is my winner.

Gary, thank you for these excellent pictures. These are a source of inspiration to me, who is taking more traditional airplane photos. 😊

The best things about Planes of Fame, (well, one of the best things), is that fly.  Consequently, returning back the planes will be repositioned with different lighting.  Often, you'll run into many planes with drip pans under the engine.
