Changing weather, Sakrisøy
« on: March 26, 2016, 14:05:28 »
Sakrisøy (named after the old Norwegian male name Sakris, and "øy" means island) is probably the most photographed subject in Lofoten. It's an incredibly scenic place, but these photos do not have the slightly spooky mood as Knut's great b&w image he recently posted.

Bjørn J, I was supposed to be used to it by now but here I am admiring your photography again.

Beautiful pictures! The landscape, the weather and the light really makes these pictures pop out of the screen :)

Thanks for the comments :)
Tristin, all of them are taken with the good old Nikkor 16mm/3,5. I love that lens - which is why I have two. Double Happiness, 囍, as the chinese say :)

Really beautiful and a good demonstration that nice stable weather is not the best for photography - although here the last one makes a good contrast to the more interesting ones above it.

Very true. Often rapidly changing weather is far more interesting. (It's approx. one hour between the two shots at the top. )
