Spear fishing
« on: March 24, 2016, 18:19:21 »
Taken from my lounge :) I wonder how many other people can shoot so many species of birds by sitting on a chair in their lounge. I was actually shooting other birds when this one popped up. Quickly.
shooting a bit into the sun - so ya I know..

I'm jealous of you having visitors like this in your garden.

Looks like you're falling in love with that 200-500 too

Colin - the 200-500 is the best thing for me I swear. Although its not quite that long - and I shoot FF - I get pleasure out of my birds   - and the mages are just for web use anyway. It's really more about the pleasure than anything else - and I am not complaining.

Rosko - thank you. I didnt realize how many species I had here - until I started shooting them

Two Cape White eyes. Rather small

These are fun pictures!  Apparently the white eyes are ubiquitous.  Thanks for sharing, Elsa!

Did you open the glass doors first?

Two splendid images Elsa.

The pleasure that you are having in taking them is I am sure certainly having a positive effect in the images themselves.  Great stuff - and thanks for taking us into your back yard. :)

I wonder how the birds transition from that position, to be able to swallow the fish, guess I have not paid enough attention

Thanks for sharing your images Elsa

It is hard for me to understand how birds can hunt underwater for fish.  Just completely amazing.
