Tristin, certainly not skittish, you can get quite close , guess that's why they are called boobie birds ? Taking off is quite an effort, and landing they are not that graceful either. But they are fantastic swimmers, they dive and catch fish, a fantastic sight I have not yet been able to capture.
Akira, I used a 20mm f1.8 AFS, the front of the lens was probably about 30cms from the closest bird beak
Frank, sun was setting down and I used a manual white balance to keep the very warm tones, plus some PP that increased the saturation, contrast, and sharpness
