Thanks Richard, very thorough repair guide!
Thanks Richard, I have no need to dismantle mine yet I think. And I agree it is a good deal and performs well wide open, at least on my Sony A7
Actually mine is an early multicoated Q-CAnd you probably all know this episode 48 of NIKKOR - The Thousands and one Nights on the Nikkor-Q Auto 200mm f/4, but just in case.
The 200 mm f/4 Nikkor Q has some appeal for use in UV as well. Demonstrated here with a Phalaenopsis (Moth orchid) and Japanese characters "written" with sunblocking lotion. Hopefully my son had studied his Japanese diligently (he wrote this). Must have learnt something of the language after living in the country for 18 months. Or so I hope as I paid the tuition fees !!Do note only the first version without the 'C' designation should be used. The last QC will work - sort of - however, its UV sensitivity and UV sharpness are poor.

Very understandable written and illustrated, Richard. Compliments.
