D750 viewfinder issue?
« on: March 07, 2016, 15:12:55 »
I experienced something that I never experienced before. Recently (actually as of yesterday) I see the grid and focus point double in the viewfinder. No, I was not drunk and I do not have a double vision. When I see this, I also cannot move the focus point around. When I switch camera off and on, it is gone. Or not. And then I switch it off again.

Has anyone experienced this? What to do?

The tricky thing is that I will go on a photo trip tomorrow...

No, I was not drunk...

That's what I tend to say when I am drunk  ::)  Let us know how it pans out!

Peter, sorry about the trouble.

Is the firmware the latest?  The firmware C:1.02 released last May improves the stability of the operation of the camera, and the latest is C:1.10.

It is strange, because the LCD has to have a double grid to be doubled.  Or, maybe the LCD is off from the finder screen to cause ghosting?

Yes, it looks like a ghosting effect. I do have the latest version of the firmware. Thanks for thinking with me. So there's enough gear in my luggage. I alway try to travel light. ;-)

I'll see how it goes. I'll bring a D700 as backup camera. And a fuji for the 35mm perspective.
