I am with Frank on these images. the first is exceptional, the rest is a documentary from a move set, and that shows how artificial weddings often are.

PS: My last wedding was my bride, me and a pj friend who took some snaps before we went to lunch in a little fish restaurant across from the registrar's office. Much more enjoyable than my first wedding ;-)

oh absolutely right on the blown whites. It's apparently fashion now. For me - all done in post as all the detail is there in the white in RAW.
I am open to opinions on this - do you prefer the attached version better?

All girls I have married so far have died. I don't consider it a good idea to try again ....

The first image is really lovely and you have succeeded in capturing just the minimum of detail in the whites to prevent highlights from blowing out. I'm sure it prints nicely.

I noticed the groom wears a selection of native Fynbos flowers as a formal decoration. Nice touch. He does look a bit tense through and probably is reconsidering the immediate future at that point ?

Thanks Bjørn - only Fynbos was used - even in the bride's bouquet.
The sun was rather harsh -  he was squinting all the way - and yes - his first marriage at age 45 - he was rather stressed out (and so was I)
