....and the plum trees and jonquils are in full bloom here. Taken during a late afternoon walk around Shinjuku Gyoen, a beautiful park and garden in Tokyo.

The 4/200 Micro is  a lens I really like.
You showed here her typical qualities:
High definition and separation.
love this lens and its engineering style of photo creation

Mike, I like how you underexposed these flowers.
One thing is certain I would have spent hours and hours in Shinjuku Gyoen with a few of my sharp lenses :)

Although I am still learning how to get the best out of this lens, I really like it, too, for the same reasons. Great rendering of OOF background.

"engineering style" = precision?

Thanks, Jakov. It is very easy to spend hours in Shinjuku Gyoen. However, when the very popular cherry blossom viewing time (hanami) arrives shortly, you will need sharp elbows as well.

I actually wound back the brightness of the images quite a bit - personal preference.

Elsa, Elsa, Elsa, it's trivial to make an unshsarp photo with an unsharp lens.
You need to grab a sharp one in order to create an unsharp image ;)
:*

In other words, I will be using a sharp lens, it's just that I cannot focus properly :D
