Did you struggle to get focus on the first image ?

Certainly lots of clouds all the way to the ground

I don't remember now, but I use back button and single point, so probably just aimed for the little patch of trees.

Kieth, I love the minimalist and romantic composition!
Thank you.  The palm tree(Washingtonia robusta) figures heavily in the imagery of and about California. These are native to points further south.
