Frank, that bird for scale makes the shot huge.
Akita...super. Ominous for sure. The size and tone of the colors works very well. That spot of yours have many faces.

While the sun was setting yeasterday evening I noticed the sky almost caught fire. I grabbed the nearest camera that happened to a UV converted D40x and a 135 mm. When I discovered the "mistake" it was too late. The result was somewhat strange as the sky turned out purple. A white balance adjustment gave a fair result with regards to the colors I "saw". Im not sure what wavelengths who got recorded.
