That's a beautiful sunset shot, Akira.  9 shots, that's very impressive.

Tsunami Cape Town - apologies for the watermark.

This is the most compelling cloud shot that I've come across.

Thanks, Anirban.  If you use CC2015, Photomerge for stitching is well worth trying.  :)

Akira, I like the the color treatment and composition of this last pano, and it's set at a good level of darkness.

Keith, thanks.  I wanted to retain both the dooming feel and those partial reflections of the sunset color.  So, I'm glad you pointed out those.

Nikon f, Vivitar 20/3.8, Velvia 100.  The lens is not critically sharp (nor, it seems, was I when I shot this), but something about the contrast and color balance pleased me.

Mongo used to keep a folder full of cloud images for blending purposes until that file was lost in a hard drive failure. The two images below have blended clouds from other images photoshopped in.

#2 required a little bit of work to get the position, colour and level of transparency in the water as close to what it might have been that Mongo could imagine.

Mongo is aware (in advance) that a lot of you frown upon this practice. So, let him say he understands and appreciates your point of view without getting into a debate about it. Also, Mongo does this blending for fun and not in any serious photography.
