This is far away from the shore and hi crop so the air distortion is visible

Very long freight trains rumble through the Southwestern desert of the US, hauled by powerful diesel locomotives serially connected. What a noise (!), and the ground shaking violently as the train slowly passes by.

Kelso in the Mohave Desert, D200 with 28-300 Nikkor.
