Image size frustration SOLVED
« on: June 19, 2015, 23:55:35 »
After spending too much time on the problem with images not resizing in the post, I finally figured it out:

I have to use the yellow forum layout!

If I use the SMF default layout images will not resize (downsample) properly.

Phew!

I actually like the SMF default layout, so I hope this will be fixed :)

Obviously, had you told us you used the Curve theme, the answer could be presented right away ...

The CSS solution to resize images  is only implemented in the Revival theme :D

The lesson to be learned is that specifying your theme has to be mandatory in case of any site issues.

What does this mean for those of us using the Curve theme?

Well, the Theme Guidelines tells us we have four themes to choose from, no mention of lack of functionality in any of them... :)

It's more like *added* functionality in the Revival Theme .... Nothing has been taken away :D, just added.

When Andrea recovers from her eye-sight issues, I assume the same CSS code can be added to the other themes as well. Meanwhile, use the default 'yellow' Revival theme, or don't bother about issues with image resizing. You now know why.

It depends not only on the theme obviosly. Look at these screen shots from my Galaxy Note 2 with Android 4.4.2:

(Scrolling all over the same way it works with the Truckman theme)

As posted elsewhere, there was a typo in the Curve theme (not mine) which has been fixed.
Please retest your image display and report any problems here: http://nikongear.net/revival/index.php?topic=298
