Damn Alexander, every time I see one of your images ... it makes me want to move to London. But then I realize it's not the place it's the photog. How long did you have to wait for the bubbles to get where you needed them to be?

lol good one !

looking at this on my phone, zooming in got to see a vertical crop of the right side of the image , where the man appeats to be looking a huge menacing bubble

I took probably 10 or 12 shots. But the main hindrance was the pedestrians, it was a busy place. It is Trafalgar Square, behind him is National Gallery. Here is a shot from the same place:
