28/2.0 AIS needing infiniy stop adjustment

I've got a 28/2.0 AIS Nikkor that needs a minor adjustment of the infinity stop. It doesn't quite focus to infinity. I've done this adjustment a couple of times on a 50/1.4 AIS with no trouble but I can't get a standard precision screwdriver into the screws that lock a brass washer that locks the infinity setting at a proper angle. Is there a special tool for this. Are there screwdrivers with a bend in the shank for this purpose. The screw driver I was trying to use was given to me by a camera repairman friend. I think it was made by Canon and sold by http://www.micro-tools.com/. The screwdriver uses interchangeable blades.

You need to remove the front part of the focus ring and the filter ring...

I'm quite sure that's what I did but a screw driver can't be inserted in the screws without an angle that would likely strip the screw's head, screw driver or both. The job was easy to do on a 50/1.4 AIS.

I have a couple of screwdrivers with extra thin shafts, but should not be needed as I recall,,,

I don't have the lens open at this time. I'll have to return to this when I have more time. I think the front element is wide enough to cover the screws that lock the focus ring to the focusing group. The best angle I could get was about 15° which I thought would be enough to strip the screw heads.
