Seen during the Christmas holidays on a beach near my parents' town.

apart from the fact that this a phenomenal image, what caught my attention is the fact that you go fishing on the beach during xmas and i suppose it's not down under...

Thanks Jakov :)

Yes, beach, Christmas and not Down Under.
Pretty much winter, but a very mild day, without wind nor waves.
I was just fishing images though. There were hundreds if not thousands of people and dogs strolling and enjoying the afternoon.
The beach is long, beautiful and in a relatively undeveloped state (it is a regional natural park).

Superb image, a lovely sunset enhanced by the poses of the fishermen.  Excellent timing.

Thank you all, Tristin, Tom, Armando, Elsa and Erik.
Especially Elsa, I also think that print is the ideal destination of any worthy image; if an image is not worth printing it means it does not stand out.

Wonderful shot!
As a matter of interest- did you wait long for the shot?
I'm always intrigued at how people get such awesome pictures. Does one wait and time it? Is it serendipity?
