My gut tells me, the used market is going to see some real bargains on used D7000-series cameras and well-worked D300s'. (Yeah. I'm kinda brilliant like that.) And, as my moniker might suggest, I know a thing or three about "wannabe" photographers, more concerned with showing off their kit in the park weekends then putting it to any hard use. So we hungry sort, should expect quite a few used, near-mint, D7200's adorning the shelves of our favorite mega store, as people with the means trade up to the D500. And I thank them, most sincerely! Yes, there can be a silver lining to living in the New York metro area. Call it a dividend, at the edge of civilization. Then, there is eBay...
In case anybody had doubts: I have ordered a review sample and will get this as soon as the camera arrives here. Might take some time though as I expect demand for it to be excessive.
Bjørn, you are indeed the point-man supreme to many an aspiring owners' dream. As we anxiously await your evaluation, we're confident we can count on you to cut through the bull... no, make that, the reindeer dung (given your latitude and attitude) to present us with the unvarnished truth, which all hope will include the "ungreased" [sic] truth as well, less we revisit relatively recent nightmares. Still, you got to call it as you see it -- spots and all, if they show. If I were superstitious, I wouldn't even joke about such a thing.
Meanwhile, any prognostications on it's possible UV/IR performance? (Andrea, you on this?)
