This is old. But in the new edit I like it more than ever.

Smoking has dropped off in most of the civilized world, but certainly not in Asia.

Very cool shot Frank. I really like your framing and processing. What I find more interesting is everyone holding the smoke in left hand; as if the image was flipped horizontally!

Greece tops the list and I happened to experience it first hand. Smoking is permitted in the most public places in Greece.

Ron I sincerely hope I misunderstood your comment and you didn't make the following two statements:

1. People who live in Asia are not civilized;
2. Those who smoke are not civilized.

For a moment there, it didn't sound good.

Greece tops the list and I happened to experience it first hand. Men & women - everyone smokes literally everywhere; smoking is permitted in the most public places in Greece.
Strange statistics and very difficult to measure. I don't think there is much difference in cigarette-consumption between Belgium and the Netherlands, apart from one important thing. Cigarettes are cheaper in Belgium.

The image is oriented the way it was shot. One can see it in the architecture of the Cathedral.

There might be a convention of greeting with the right and smoking with the left?

Please don't read anything like that into my comment.

Wow, three for three. Anirban made an interesting left hand observation.
