This is the food ready to eat area.  What surprised me was nearly every market on Maui had an extensive section for ready to eat food of high quality.  My favorite is Poke, marinated raw tuna cubes.

Thank you Colin.  I got to meet the "red ducks" a few days later.  They were calling themselves the Maui Mermaids.
