From a month in India....
« on: December 22, 2015, 08:08:34 »
From watching outside the ropes (like the family) to shooting a movie in the making from withIN as an extra...
...to watching the hours long body-painting in preparation for a parade of tigers....
...and holiday parade floats lined up for sale and seeing them bare naked...

1 (obviously not shot by me)

If you put a number next to the images, it's easier to comment when someone likes a particular one. Just a suggestion.
I very much like the first and second shots taken in school. I'm surprised most of them aren't looking at the camera. :) Looked like somewhere in (Uttar Pradesh) or Rajasthan.
Tiger parade - was it "Pulikali/Onam Tiger Festival" in Kerala?

numbered....thanks...

Yes, shots taken in/near Rajastan....Sawai Madhopur...
Tiger parade is Kulupali....
Here are some variations of the "don't look at the camera" shots...I generally try to "catch" people looking at their world and not at me...though sometimes I can't avoid that...sometimes I AM that world....

Browsing through the thread with much interest!  Pili Kali related images and the images of school kids are particularly appealing to me.  The statues of Ganeisha are very finely made.  "Kali" seems to mean "Dance" as in "Kata Kali"...

Thanks, Jt, for sharing!

Jt, great set of images. I love the lighting and the overall expression on that first one of the students in class. Your portraits with eye contact are also very pleasing. Thanks for sharing, I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Wow, that's a lot of images and lots of good ones. I particularly like the images of the kids.
