Mont St Michel revisited

Back in 2012 I had the pleasure of visiting Mont St. Michel with my dear Erik.
It was a one day excursion and we covered more than 1500 km in the process.
We shot Mont St. Michel from within and from all available to us angles on the outside (the view from the sea is left out because El Presidente is not amphibian yet).
I new back then that we made great images and returning to them now I tried processing them in another way.
It's as if I have been there again and made new images

Like the treatment for the last two.  They remind me of a special technic in which you paint a whole piece of drawing paper using crayons of various colors, paint it with black crayon all over, and then draw lines with a nail.  I don't know the technical term for this, though.

So, yes, different indeed !

I would prefer your last pic inspiring serenity thanks the horizontal lines and the #2 (with sheep) like a drawing, despite the strange pattern of the sky, though. .

Revisiting pictures is a good idea when the weather is gloomy/rainy...

Thanks Akira! I am not aware of the technique that you are mentioning. But we did something similar in school with a tile of linoleum where we would carve in the image and then print it on paper. It's so easier nowadays with the post processing tools at our disposal

Thanks Francis! I only recently started seriously revisiting my old photos and reprocessing them. I faced the fact that I knew very little about PP back then, and that I am still in the process of learning

Akira is spot on. It's called "Crayon Etching" or "Scratch Art"... If you just google these words, you will find the similarities with Jakov's photos. Only difference, you won't find anything as good as Jakov's representation.

Jakov - these photos are breath of fresh air! I can only imagine how nice they will look on mural size print in a contemporary setup. Love them!

Anirban, thanks for helping me finding the name of the technique.  Yes, that's it!  Being unable to come up with the word, I was scratching my head, so I think I was pretty close...
