Only eye makeup
« on: December 05, 2015, 15:00:03 »

1 soft box at near minimum power so I could open the aperture , I think the effect is quite pleasant

Usually the studio lights (2, but often 4) are at or near full blast , and photos are taken at F/8 .. F/13 depending how the far the light is from the model, with white walls and ceiling the  light bounces and it just floods the space, often I'm sharing the studio and the costs and  seems most photographers that I work with want to capture every little detail in the model and clothes, since I shoot just for fun I rather use wider apertures.

Yesterday I helped one of the studio owners to AF fine tune a new camera, took me 5 mins, I was given time on my own with the model at the end of a group session, I had the  freedom to set the light to my liking.

end of rambling ...

Thanks for looking

Yes I'd agree - very pleasant. And I agree with your strategy.

For me, the caption of this might be
"Stay with me. I'm going to share a secret"
