Samsung does not have a Nikon F-mount system, so I don't see how this makes sense for Nikon.  It's not like they would pick up a lot of customers that way.

Nikon has the technology to do an awesome F-mount mirrorless system, they have the Nikon 1 system which actually has great tech, just too small of a sensor for many. They have not done a full on mirrorless system for lack of engineering... they simply don't want to undermine their DSLR sales. 

They need to build an FX mirrorless with an F-mount and they would crush the market (IMO)!! Please!
