San Francisco, 2015
« on: November 30, 2015, 01:26:27 »
Couple of weeks back, I visited San Francisco city for few hours. Wish I could spend some more time over there. It's a beautiful city. Here's few touristy photos from that short trip.

Critique and comments on my photos are most welcome!

#1. Golden Gate Bridge.

Too much branches blocking the view in the first one for me.

The second one is very nice, surf and dog appearing to make eye contact with the bridge.

"Surf and dog." My favourite too. You managed to find a new angle to a place that has been shot to oblivion. Meritorious!

Øivind - Thanks for comment. I've photo of the same view without the branches. Somehow I didn't feel they are interesting and may be because I've seen pictures of that view way too many times. Glad to hear your feedback.

Thank you Frank. "... shot to oblivion" - very true. Here was a gentleman (among many others) taking picture next to me!

Baker Beach is beautiful, nice contrast with the waves, mountains, blue sky, beach, dog and bridge.

Nice series

#4 is fantastic! with the crabs the clerk and then all the reflections

It has been a long time since I've been to SF, before digital and the shots I got at the time are sort of crappy

I wouldn't mind the weed in the first image (nor do i ever mind weed) if it were in focus leaving the bridge out of focus.
This way it does get in the way (and perhaps a bit over sharpened).

Thanks a lot, Armando. First time when I was in SFO, I didn't carry an SLR. :)

I'm with Jakov on the 1st and 7th. How can one not be with Jakov  ::)

2nd one is really nice, showing the bridge without being about the bridge.

Great series.
