As this particular tall ship quite often is berthed here in Oslo, a closer look is possible ...

RIBs with powerful outboard engines take on the strongest tidal race in the world (Saltstraumen, near Bodø, Arctic Norway). Not a place you want your engines stall on you, that's for sure ...

The famous dutch-yellow train;  the  Mat '64,  built between 1966 and 1976 by the dutch group 'Werkspoor'. It's still in function in some remote parts of the Netherlands ;)

Trains at Aarhus Hovedbanegård by Joergen Ramskov, on Flickr

The trains with the red lights on are our "great" IC4 trains, that is supposed to replace our IC3 trains (the right most train is an IC3). The IC4 trains (built by AnsaldoBreda in Italy) have and continue to be a huge scandal here. They were supposed to have replaced the IC3 trains in 2003-2006. The last train set (82 in total) was delivered in september 2013 and the trains continue to be quite unreliable. A report estimates that 77 of the trains will be usable in 2019. A particularly strange part of the story is that one set was never delivered as it ended as a gift for Muammar Gaddafi from Silvio Berlusconi.
