Beautiful scene.  The yellow flare gives a nice accent to the image.

How Dutch scenery :)

You may say that, whatever is left of the dutch landscape, with the ever on-going onslaught,  read progress, destroying the original countryside. Economy is the magic deception.
Thanks Birna for your comment.

Yes,  shot with the Fuji IS pro (Adapted S5 Pro -  380 nm to 1000 nm)  and the  35-135/3.5-4.5 with 720nm filter

Brings back memories of our time living in Albany, when I was up and down the Columbia regularly.

Recently, you probably have read of the ship that went awry in Venice Lagoon. It is hoped that after this event ships will be banned from passing near the historical buildings of Canal Grande and Giudecca.

The ship was only 65,000 tons, not a big deal, ships three times as large enter the lagoon. Just imagine what could do a 200,000 ton ship out of control!

A couple photos

#1 could have had a place in the Objet trouvé thread. Title Look mama what I found on the beach!

#2 Towering above St.George's Church This ship is bigger than the one that made the news (95,000 tons), more than 60 m high (bigger ships are up to 75 m high)

Venice is about 2 hrs driving from my home. I try going there in off-peak seasons
