local tradition
« on: November 05, 2015, 23:19:14 »
November the  first is the day of the dead in México
A number of traditional altars are erected in houses, parks, all sort of places, offers are left in tombs, including flowers, photos, food , all in all a very colorful celebration

Decorations are created around the representation of death, many with skeletons dressed as people, or people with make up that makes them look like a skeleton, a couple of woman and man are called Catrina y Catrín, dressed in old fancy clothing, and even outside this dates people smartly dressed will be called catrin or catrina to note how fancy they look.

Orange flowers - locally called Cempazúchitl (marigold) - are used in many decorations

I did not attend any of the celebrations, but we had some dressed up women in the studio
Here is one of them, in skeleton makeup, with a fancy dress, hat, and the cempazúchitl flowers and a redish flower I'm not familiar with

It's beautiful!
I would bring the reds in the skin down a bit - which will  accentuate the colour on the face in return
just my opinion :)
