Nasos, your small birds are splendid. You must be both patient and stealthy! I tend to confine myself to the larger ones, like the herons now gathering in our local park. There are about 40-50 so far, but the colony will likely grow to its usual size of about 50-55 pairs in the next few weeks. They're starting to settle into last year's nests, but there will be plenty of squabbling over mates and real estate for a while yet.
